Coming up on this episode of the Hip Hop Report…Block Entertainment’s Gorilla Zoe defends the Dirty South. Ja Rule prepares for his big come back and T-Pain speaks on his vocal technique. All that and more coming up next on the hip hop report.

There’s a new kid on the block, Block Entertainment/Bad Boy South that is and his name is Gorilla Zoe….he’s also the newest member of Atlanta rap group Boys In The Hood. The outspoken rapper from the ATL had this to say to folks who may be hatin’ on the music coming out of the dirty South:

Gorilla Zoe recently dropped his solo debut album titled Welcome To The Zoo. The new project includes appearances by Big Boi of Outkast, Rick Ross, 8 Ball and MJG, Young Jeezy and labelmate Yung Joc. Check for his latest single “Hood Figga” out now.

It’s been a couple years since rapper Ja Rule has dropped a project of his own, leaving fans anxious to hear what’s next from the rhyme-sayer who once battled it out with G-Unit’s 50 Cent. Well, Ja’s fans won’t have to wait too much longer, he plans to make a strong come back with the release of his highly anticipated album “The Mirror” which he describes as “his confessions”. The first single to drop from that joint is “Uh Oh”…featuring LIl Wayne…and it is fire! Lets take a peak!

Reportedly, Ja Rule says he no longer wants to participate in any “beefs” and wants to make music that make people feel good. Amen to that! Be sure to check for Ja Rule’s “The Mirror” available November 13th 2007.

Tallahassee Hard & B star T-Pain began composing music at the tender age of 10 years old in his make shift bedroom studio. Before becoming the successful singer he is today, he once was a part of a group called the “Nappy Head.” T-Pain talks about when his career first started to bubble:

T-Pain hit the #1 spot on Billboard’s top 200 albums charts with the debut of his second album Epiphany. The talkbox sound effect made popular in urban music by the late Roger Troutman, is used heavily throughout T-Pain’s songs and has catapulted his music sells into the millions. He admits that he can sing without the effect and he tells us more on why he chooses to use that technique:

T-Pain’s latest album Epiphany is available now. Let’s check out Bartender by T-Pain ft. Akon on the Hip Hop Report.
