West Coast rap icon Snoop Dogg is preparing his 9th studio album titled Ego Trippin’. Reportedly The Doggfather is planning to do the entire project by himself with no guest rappers, singers or producers. Okay now we know why he’s calling it Ego Trippin’. The forthcoming effort is scheduled to drop 2008 or even as late as 2009. We caught up with Snoop in LA and he told us who has the biggest impression on him musically.

Snoop has also been a major figure in his own genre of hip hop and has influenced rap music and artists globally since 1992. He was recently honored at the 2007 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Award Show. We ask Snoop what he feels his legacy is?

Look for Snoop’s contribution in the forthcoming book Tupac Remembered: Bearing Witness to a Life and Legacy. The book will feature interviews and first hand accounts from celebrities and friends who knew and worked with Pac. Other contributors include Talib Kweli, Poet Maya Angelou, Treach, E-40 and others. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation for The Arts. Tupac Remembered hits shelves February 2008.


The world’s fastest rapper Twista recently released his 7th album Adrenaline Rush 2007, 10 years after the release of his hit album Adrenaline Rush. Twista tells us more about his new CD:
