Coming up on this episode of the Hip Hop Report…Chingy returns to Disturbing The Peace, Ceelo talks Gnarls Barkley and Yung Joc breaches airport security..All that and more coming up next on the Hip Hop Report.

Chingy is back with his 4th album Hate It or Love It his first CD since his return to Ludacris’ Disturbing the Peace camp. The two have made amends after Chingy left the company claiming Luda was cheating him out of money from album sales. We’ll they’ve patched things up and Chingy is back on track with his current single “Fly Like Me” featuring Amerie. Lets check out the video:

Gnarls Barkley has put the finishing touches on the follow up to their multi-platinum debut St. Elsewhere. Ceelo and Danger Mouse hooked up in 2003 to create the duo and Ceelo explains the name Gnarls Barkley:

In 2006, Gnarls released their smash hit “Crazy” that went number one in the UK and #4 in the US. It became the highest selling single that year and the first ever UK single to go #1 based on downloads. The dynamic duo also picked up a couple of Grammy Awards for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for their single “Crazy” and Best Alternative Music Album for St. Elsewhere. Cee-lo had no idea “Crazy” would do so well:

Before going solo and teaming up with Danger Mouse to form Gnarls Barley, Cee-lo began his rap career with Atlanta rap group Goodie MOB. They disbanded after recording 3 albums but Cee-lo says they have plans to reunite for another Goodie Mob CD:

Cee-lo is currently working on a solo album and getting ready to drop Gnarls Barkley’s forthcoming project due out March 2008.


A Big OOPS! Goes out to Yung Joc who was taken in to custody at a Cleveland Airport over the holidays…He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after police supposedly found the weapon and ammonition in his carry-on bag. Reportedly, he maintains his innocence by claiming he didn’t know the gun was there. Yung Joc is due back in court later this month.
