Coming up on this episode of the Hip Hop Report…Will West Coast rapstress Yo Yo return to the mic to claim Miss Rap Supreme… T.I. got big things poppin’ on the big screen and in sports we catch up with NBA champion Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics … all that and more coming up next on the Hip Hop Report!

OG rap stars Yo Yo & MC Serch hosted the first season of Miss Rap Supreme. The competition based reality show featured 10 femcees (that’s female emcees) vying to be Miss Rap Supreme. After a grueling 8 weeks of challenging tasks that put their rhyme skills and creativity to the test, Rece took home the title. Yo Yo, who was once the protégé of rap icon Ice Cube, gives aspiring femcees a word of advice:

It’s been quite a while since Yo Yo has released an album…Is the Queen of West Coast rap giving up the mic for good?

Rap superstar T.I. is puttin’ in more than community service time, he’s been focused on staying positive and has stepped his business game way up. He recently inked a big 3 picture deal with Screen Gems and the first movie scheduled to drop is “Bone Deep”, a crime flick that involves a group of bank robbers who pull their last daring bank heist. T.I. has also nabbed a reality show. MTV will document the rapper from the time he started serving community service duties up until his sentencing date of March 2009. The self-proclaimed King of the South is also getting ready to release his long awaited Paper Trail CD September 9th , which is said to be the most anticipated album of the year.
