The Dogg Pound is currently on tour with Snoop Dogg and has plans to drop their forthcoming CD “100 Ways” this Fall.

Canadian Rapper Kardinal Offishall says he can’t be bought hence the name of his forthcoming CD titled “Not For Sale.” The recording marks his 4th album and his 1st on Konvict Muzik, a label owned by Hip Hop recording star Akon who also serves as the album’s executive producer. “Not For Sale” is laced with his signature Raggae dancehall vibe and hosts a pretty nice line up of talent including Rihanna, The Dream, T-Pain and The Clipse. The first single “Dangerous” is Offishall’s most successful song to date. Lets check out the video for Dangerous by Kardinal Offishall ft. Akon on The Hip Hop Report

40 years ago Olympians Tommie Smith and John Carlos made history not only by breaking records in track and field but by staging one of the most profound political protests during the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. After Smith won the gold medal and Carlos won the bronze in the 200 meter dash they both stood on the podium with no shoes, their heads bowed and their black-gloved fists rose in the air, symbolizing the injustice of Blacks in America. That image is one of the most powerful images of the Civil Rights Era. John Carlos gives us more on the message behind that monumental event in 1968:

The two iconic athletes have dedicated their lives to athletics, education and human rights. They recently received The 2008 Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year’s ESPY Awards.
